Hallo
The farm is located in the outskirts of city Braga. It is an organic farm, that produces diverse fruits and vegetables sold localy. The owners, Manuel and Elisabeth also run in the farm a local B&B with some emphasis on eno-turism. They are associated to Vinibio, a local organic wine cooperative, and used to sell most of the grapes to this organic coop.
The vineyard is only 2Ha of two indigenous varieties 50% Alvarinho and 50% Avesso. The yield is low, around 3000L of Alvarinho and 4000L of Avesso.
The soils are granitic, mostly granite sand, it stays at 350-400m altitude, and it is facing South with a slope of 15% to 30%.
The grapes are hand harvested in the morning cold, selected in a table in the cold basement winery, de-stemmed, and pressed. The fermentation of the juice happens in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature, and stays on the fine lees for 4/5 months. The wine is decanted new tank twice, and before bottling there is a large porosity plaque filtration.
No sulphur is added in the winery, suitable for vegans.
